What is rally week like at camp?

  • No quiet hours during the rally; generators may run overnight.
  • New for 2027: a food truck right here at camp.
  • An ice and beer cart.
  • Da Bus, the Sturgis shuttle, stops at camp.
  • No charge for bikes, trailers or extra vehicles, with overflow trailer parking.
  • Hot showers, flush toilets and coin laundry in the bathhouse.

Cabin, RV site or tent for the rally?

  • Cabin: a real bed and a door that locks, with a covered porch for the bikes. Bring your own bedding. About our dry cabins.
  • RV site: 30 or 50 amp, 100+ ft long on grass, room for the trailer. All 60 sites are full hookups, and 40 are pull-through.
  • Tent: the lowest price, on flat mowed grass a short walk from hot showers.

How far is camp from Main Street?

Main Street in Sturgis is 6 miles from camp, about 10 minutes most of the year. During the rally, traffic into town is heavy, so ride in early. If you’d rather not ride in at all, Da Bus (Sturgis Transit, sturgisbus.com) runs rally shuttles around Sturgis and stops at camp.

What should I pack for rally week?

  • Rain gear: August afternoons in the Black Hills often bring thunderstorms, sometimes hail
  • Layers for cool nights, and sunscreen for hot days
  • Earplugs: rally week is not quiet week
  • A propane grill or stove if you plan to cook (no open fires)
  • Bedding and towels if you’re in a cabin

Can I have a campfire during the rally?

No. Open fires aren’t allowed at camp any time of year. Contained propane grills and propane fire features are fine, unless the county says otherwise. On August 6, 2026, during the rally, Meade County put a countywide burn ban in place that also covered outdoor grills unless specifically permitted, so check for burn bans before you pack the propane fire pit.
